Supplies:
  • Cardboard Boxes
Elmer's Build It Tools Starter Set:
  • Holepunch & Screwdriver
  • Kid-Safe Cardboard Cutting Tool
  • Screws
Elmer's Build It Tools Expansion Set:

  • Hinges (optional)

Instructions:

Part I: Cut Out Your Cardboard Castle Design Template

  1. Gather your cardboard boxes, Holepunch & Screwdriver, Kid-Safe Cardboard Cutting Tool, Screws, and optional Hinges from the Expansion Set.

  2. Take 1 cardboard box and open both sides. Cut the cardboard BRIDGE design on 1 of the open side's flaps.

  3. Take 4 cardboard boxes and open 1 side of each. These will be your cardboard castle TOWERS. Then, take an additional closed cardboard box and cut out the TOP SIDES designs in the middle of your box for your TOWERS.

Part II: Connect Your Cardboard Castle Cutouts

  1. Attach your TOWER boxes together as pairs by their open sides using Screws to create a total of 2 TOWERS. (Tip: attach Screws on the top flap to increase their height.)
  2. Cut doors on your TOWERS for entry. If you have the Expansion Set, use the Hinges to reattach the doors.
  3. Attach the TOP SIDES designs to the top of your 2 TOWERS using a Screw for each side. Then, connect the cardboard BRIDGE to both sides using a Screw for each side as well.  
  4. Enjoy your new DIY cardboard castle like royalty!
